    Your staff team at OP is your number #1 source for helping you navigate the forums and answering any questions you might have! We're here to serve you, and we'd love to discuss our vision for that! The philosophy we strive for includes Empathy, meaning we're a friend and peer to members in supporting their lives and situation; Engagement, meaning that we always hope to bring activity to the table; and Empowerment, meaning that we strive to collaborate with each other in order to help everyone feel ready to take on new projects around the forums.

    Our roles and responsibilities are strengths-based and dynamic as tied to the specific person within the role. We do have loose expectations that we'll list here, but otherwise, once a staff member has identified what they enjoy from foruming and being a part of the staff team, we foster and support that completely.

    Firstly, all staff positions are expected to maintain frequent activity. Secondly, and most importantly, all staff members are here to help you feel supported and enjoy the forums!

    Moderator

    • generating daily posts and threads
    • hosting events (non-section specific)



    Super Moderator

    • driving forward major forum events
    • guiding the Event and Media teams



    Admin & Founder

    • fostering a long-term vision of growth for the forums
    • managing forum outreach en mass
    • for founder: forum upkeep & staff happiness



    Staff Selection Process


    We recruit for open staff positions via a staff application process. Once accepting staff, we'll bump this thread with an application including a short list of questions for members to answer via PM to the founder role. The founders will then share the application response information with the rest of the staff team, and from there, using a combination of observation, interaction, and rubric assessment, we will deem someone befitting of the open staff role!

    Promotions are handled on a time and merit basis. Moderators are typically able to advance, if they so choose, within three months' time and a demonstrated investment in running events or initiatives on OP; from there, a year of additional, consistent activity and contribution to the forums will open the doors for the next step. Our process is iterative and open to change, but we're excited to see what's in store!

    Trial Period & Staff Contract


    Please note that once a new staff member is accepted into the position after the application process, there will be a one-month trial period assessing their strengths and skills. This will be a fantastic way for the Founders to work individually with you and help build your leadership skills in any way we can! Further service as a member of the staff team is contingent upon the Founders' assessment of performance and activity at the end of this initial one-month trial period. We believe in our candidates and know everyone will do an exceptional job!

    Additional note: The candidates of the staff team will be expected to uphold all qualities and abilities displayed within the "E" traits. Note: OP staff may be selected at random and at the end of the contractual monthly period candidates will receive a in-depth analysis of their performance demonstrated.

    Staff applications are currently OPEN for the Media Team. We're recruiting for members to host our official Twitter and Tumblr pages. Advertising material is provided - though we'll love to see your Creativity in these roles as well! Users in the Media Team will receive their own user bar and be able to contribute back to TPP in a phenomenal and profound way!

    Applications for the Media team will close on March 10th, 2018. The questions for the application are as follows:

    What experience do you have with social media?

    What's your vision for a strong page?

    What does this experience bring for you, as a member of TPP or just in general?
