Stan Lee sadly passed away today at the age of 95 (December 28, 1922 - November 12, 2018), he was a comic book writer, editor, producer, and publisher. He was also the editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics and later it's chairman.

He was best known for being the co-creator of Spider-Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Black Panther, X-Men, Ant-Man, Iron Man, and Thor (the latter three he worked on with Larry Lieber). He pioneered more complex approaches to superheroes in the 60's and in the 70's he challenged the standards of the Comics Code Authority.

You may also have seen him in cameos of various superhero movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe following his retirement from Marvel. Some of his cameos include Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and many more movies and television series.

Rest in Peace Stan Lee, you will be greatly missed.
